DineshSingh has served as the 21st Vice Chancellor of the University of Delhi. He hasbeen credited with initiating far reaching reforms during his tenure. Thesereforms have served as the blueprint of India’s National Education Policy. Heis currently steering higher education in Jammu & Kashmir and his impact isbeing felt as much within the state as outside. His ideas include converting arailway train into a ‘College On Wheels’ and the highly acclaimed UGprogramme-‘Design Your Degree’.

DineshSingh is just as active as a research mathematician and publishes regularly inthe leading journals of the world. His work is highly cited and he collaborateswith leading mathematicians. He has served as President of the RamanujanMathematical Society and is an adjunct professor at the University of Houston.

Heis an acclaimed painter, student of Gandhian philosophy and is known for hisoratory in English, Hindi and Urdu.

Hehas been honoured with one of India’s highest civilian awards-the Padma Shriand holds honorary doctorates from several countries. He is an alumnus of theImperial College.
